Dear Ladies,
It’s been so long since we had table hostesses for an event!
We are excited and hope you are, too!!! EEK!!
We need 32 hostesses. Friday, Sept 28, 2018!
Ideas for decorating:
- Clocks / Time / Dictionary / Books
- Something that represents our key scripture,
Ecclesiastes 3:11 (and surrounding verses). - Pictures, memorabilia that represents time, legacy,
& moments in your life, the life of your family or maybe in our church - Something that represents a “Defining Moment” in your own life

About reservations:
- You may fill your table with family and friends that you invite to make a reservation. You do not have to fill your table. Unless you specify who is sitting at your table, your table will be filled with attendees at the discretion of your Impact team.
- A paid reservation is required for each guest, including the hostess, so that we may plan for food, etc.
- The tables in Legacy Hall seat SEVEN comfortably. EIGHT is possible.
We are planning to seat 7 per table. If you need/want to seat an 8th person at your table, just let us know. If we have a big response, we may need to place an 8th person at your table.
Things you need to know/do:
- Please decorate your table! Be creative! Don’t stress! Don’t go broke! Some will be fancy, some will be simply elegant. Have fun! This year’s theme is more on the elegant side than some of the past.
- Please don't make your centerpieces so tall that it blocks the view of the stage from those behind you.
- Please DO use CLOTH tablecloths instead of plastic.
- We are using the ROUND TABLES in Legacy Hall that are 60” across. The church has WHITE round tablecloths available for use, first come, first served.
- The church also has colored rectangular tablecloths available for added color, first come, first served.
- You may use chargers, placemats, china plates, etc. The church has some charger plates available first come, first served. The food will be served plated on white plastic plates.
- You may choose to provide utensils and napkins for each place setting. The church will have clear plastic ware and white paper napkins available.
- You may provide glasses for tea or water but there will be glass tea glasses available at the church, first come, first served. Some hostesses have provided coffee cups, too, in the past, but you don’t have to. The church has Styrofoam coffee cups.
- The church has Salt & Pepper shakers as well as sweeteners and powdered creamer.
- The IMPACT closet has lots of stuff for decorating (artificial flowers, vases, candles,charger plates and other assorted decorations).
- A dressed salad will be placed on your chargers/plates prior to your guests arrival so please do NOT place anything there (napkin, etc.) that the men will have to move. The desserts (a variety) will also be placed on the table prior to the event.
- Optional: small gifts/favors for your table mates. We will be giving away gift baskets as door prizes.
- Optional: Name place holders. We make every attempt to provide you with the names of the ladies to be seated at your table ahead of time but things do seem to change at the last minute so please be flexible.
Set up and break down:
- Tables will be arranged and Legacy Hall will be open for decorating after prayer meeting on Wednesday, all day on Thursday and all day on Friday.
- Please be finished decorating no later than 5:30 pm on Friday as the doors open to our guests at 6:00 pm.
- Please be sure to return all items borrowed.
- Please remove all decorations before you leave Friday night so that we may clean and set up Legacy Hall.
